14 Days that Never Happened (QA08)

$175.00

Part of a series of non-Permutation abstracts on paper, created entirely during a 4 week quarantine moving from Binh Duong to Da Nang in Vietnam. For most of these pieces, I found images and symbols, some intentional but mostly accidental, and titled them according to what I discovered.

In this particular piece, I reference the X marks in the center. My initial hotel quarantine was supposed to last 14 days, but on the last day the hotel claimed that my Covid test was inconclusive and I ended up staying two more days. Hence, the 14 days didn’t happen because they became 16, but they also didn’t happen because the days bled into one another, and existence felt unreal.

For some context, feel free to check out this post on my Buy Me a Coffee site, where I recount our whole ordeal.
