Broken Vista (QA07)

$175.00

Part of a series of non-Permutation abstracts on paper, created entirely during a 4 week quarantine moving from Binh Duong to Da Nang in Vietnam. For most of these pieces, I found images and symbols, some intentional but mostly accidental, and titled them according to what I discovered.

The one and only nice thing about our quarantine hotel was that it had a view. Da Nang is a beach city that is nestled between mountains in the distance and also features a long river going right through it. There are many bridges. The geometric structure in red that I added in this piece reminds me of both the bridges and the mountains. The mountains are turned on their side to highlight the surreal experience of quarantining.

For some context, feel free to check out this post on my Buy Me a Coffee site, where I recount our whole ordeal.
