Permutation no. 848

Part of a mini-series of related collage Permutations, this piece draws on textual papers collected from sources from all over the world. The series is comprised of four pieces that focus on color palettes reminiscent of the classic elements. The colors of this piece represent earth. The sources include newspapers and magazines from Russia, China, India, France, Ecuador and The United States, with languages including Dutch, French, Spanish, English, Mandarin, Russian, and Hindi, ranging as far back as the 1960’s. There is also a portion from the handwritten journal of my great grandfather, John Kramer, from the year of my birth, 1975.
